JSLA Pupils Lead Paralympics Events
27 Year 10 pupils have been working hard and developing their leadership skills in order to achieve the Junior Sports Leadership Award. The have regular visited local primary schools within the area including The Glynn and organised football tournaments.
On top of this they have regularly visited Pens Meadow School and helped with activities such as cooking, textiles, sports and music. Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed these visits and got to know the Pens Meadow pupils really well.
Last week they all worked extremely hard in organising a Paralympics event which was held at The Wordsley School. Five events took place including Bocca, Skittles, Target throwing, Curling and Javelin. 25 pupils from Pens Meadow attended The Paralympics Event and all had a fantastic time, along with gaining a certificate each! Through hard work the event ran smoothly, the year 10 were absolutely outstanding – well done to all! You are becoming fantastic leaders!
