School Games Mark criteria 2018/19
We are delighted to announce the release of the 2018/19 School Games Mark criteria document.
You can download the document by clicking here or by visiting School Games Mark page. The window for School Games Mark applications will open on Wednesday 08 May 2019 and closes Friday 09 August 2019.
The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme that was launched in 2012. The aim is to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school.
Since launching we have received over 35,000 School Games Mark applications.
Participating in this process is a fantastic opportunity for schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.
When applying you will find that School Games Mark applications are divided into four sets of questions:
Participation - how many young people at your school are engaged in sporting activity?
Competition - how many sports are being played and how many competitions are being entered?
Workforce - how many pupils are involved in leadership activities alongside taking part in competitions?
Clubs - how many local links does your school have with clubs or establishments from the area?
We are looking forward to another fantastic year of engaging, exciting and creative PE provision that we hope will contribute to a record number of School Games Mark applications.
