Youth Sport Trust: Privacy Notice & Data Protection
The Youth Sport Trust is committed to ensuring the safety and protection of any personal data collected. Personal data refers to any data which can identify an individual and for Youth Sport Trust purposes usually includes name, email address, telephone number and in certain circumstances gender, date of birth and ethnicity. In accordance with the Data Protection Action 1998 we will ensure that your data is:

- Used for legitimate reason
- Adequate and relevant to the reason it is collected
- Accurate and up to date where possible
- Kept for no longer than required
- Used in line with your rights
- Kept secure
- Transferred internationally only where appropriate with adequate security and protection.
The Youth Sport Trust is registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner.
Purposes for collecting personal data
The Youth Sport Trust collects personal data for:
- Monitoring the delivery of Youth Sport Trust programmes and resources
- Research, development and evaluation of Youth Sport Trust programmes and resources
- Communication regarding Youth Sport Trust work
- Marketing of our programmes, resources and membership scheme
- Human resources and employment.
Individuals providing personal data do so on the understanding that they are aware of these intended purposes.
Individuals have the right to access the personal data the Youth Sport Trust hold on them and correct it if inaccurate. If you would like to receive a copy of this data (for which we may charge a small fee) please provide a written request evidencing who you are and the information you wish to access. Passing personal data onto third parties
The Youth Sport Trust may pass your personal data onto third parties, including research and evaluation partners and other carefully selected third parties with whom it has a business relationship. It is Youth Sport Trust policy that when personal data is collected you are told what data we will share and who we may share this information with.
The Youth Sport Trust does pass data to organisations/individuals who administer services on our behalf; all organisations/individuals employed to do this are contracted to comply with the standards of the Data Protection Act 1998. The Youth Sport Trust does not collect personal data for sale to external parties or provide personal data to third parties for their own purposes, including marketing.

We have created new sports formats for intra and inter-school competition to encourage all young people to participate, including those with disabilities. The formats are split into Level 1 Primary, Level 1 Secondary and Levels 2 & 3.
