Best of the Blogs – click here to view all of the January winners

As many of you will know by now, we currently run a ‘Blog of the Week’ competition, with results being announced via our social media accounts – including our Twitter page, which can be followed @YourSchoolGames. Here, we take a look at our latest winners for the month of January.

In this monthly series we are offering the winning schools the opportunity to have their blogs displayed on the School Games home page. In addition, we will be recognising the pupils, schools and SGOs who have enjoyed the most success during a given period – in this case, for Monday 02 January – Friday 03 February 2017.

Blog of the Week: Monday 02 January – Friday 06 January

Congratulations to our winner – Edge Hill Junior School

Article Preview: “A team from 5CL and a team from 5HN represented Edge Hill in this School Games Qualifier for the County Finals. Both teams played really well, winning some of their group matches whilst narrowly losing others. As usual, the individual games were very close affairs and were often decided by a single winning ball – especially when the jacks were sent out long.”

Congratulations to our winner – St Peter's CofE Primary School

Article Preview: “The last day before we break up we can bring games and toys in for toy day to our classes to play and share with our friends at school; I like playing Pokémon go, so for toy day I asked if we could bring that in and play around school on our phones or tablets. Mr Ahmed said we wouldn’t be allowed to do it in school but would ask how many people wanted to do it and we might be able to go out and do it.”
