Swarm and corral develops defensive tackling tactics in a fast-paced 3v1 attack and defence American football game. 

  • Number of participants: Group 
  • Purpose of activity: Increase pupil physical activity through team competition 
  • Including all pupils: Ideas for differentiation included
  • Pupil roles: Participant, Official 
  • Space: Outdoors. Ensure the space is 20 yards by 20 yards, with defensive players a minimum 10 yards away from the offensive ball carrier when starting the game. 
  • Equipment: American football or similar, cones, tag belts and tags.
