KS2 World Cup Football Festival at Bottesford Primary School
KS2 World Cup Football Festival
On Friday 22nd June, some of Class 2 and 3 went to a football tournament at Bottesford. We played against Bottesford School- there were lots of different groups from that school. When we got there we chose countries, we were Mexico and the other teams were: Australia, Spain and Croatia. We then paraded with our flags. To warm up, we took penalty shots against Myles who was in the goal.
We then played six eight minute matches and played each team twice. The games were really close and we won 2, lost 2 and drew 2. Milo scored 3 goals (one was a back heal) and did a fantastic celebration! Also Myles scored once and was great in goal. Caleb also had a turn in goal.
At the end we found out that we came third and got to hold a real World Cup! It was a fun afternoon and we made lots of friends.
