Loughborough Flame Festival 2018

Year 3/4 Loughborough Flame Festival

On Wednesday 6th June, Class 2 went to Loughborough college for the Loughborough Flames: Lighting the Way festival. When we got there, we were put into groups and each was a different country in the Commonwealth (we were Denmark and some people were Malawi). Then we did a parade and saw a Paralympic Athlete called Sophie Hahn MBE. Also we saw a 1948 Olympic torch.  

Next we did a mixture of sports such as: Rugby, parachute stuff, volleyball and leapfrog. This was fun, we liked doing the parachute and the leapfrog the best.  

At the end we got to run a relay with the Olympic torch before we ate our lunch and came back to school. It was a great day!
