ACET basketball

Miss Crowley, 19 Jul 2018

13 boys and girls from year 5 represented the school in a nail biting competition!

13 students from Aughton Junior Academy participated in a fantastic morning of Basketball at Aston Academy against the other Junior Academies within ACET! Both the boys and girls played some lovely Basketball, showing respect, teamwork and determination.  The tournament saw the five junior academies playing each other in a separate boys and girls league, with the top two teams in each battling against each other for first and second place. All the boys showed excellent leadership, supporting each other and giving advice and instruction, with some fantastic shot from Slav. The girls demonstrated some lovely passing and movement down court.  Both the boys and girls tournament was played to extremely high standard, with many of the school games values been demonstrated by all participating.
