Exciting new equipment for our school & inter fixtures organised , 12th March 2021
Delighted to be able to put up our new pink netball posts today for our students to utilise in the next few weeks. Currently we are recording some fitness score in lessons regarding ABC’s which is agility, balance & co-ordination. Other fitness tests include the 6 minute run, standing long jump, hand strength test & speed bounce. We hope to finish these before Easter & start teaching our summer sports after Easter such as Netball, Rounders & Cricket. Next Friday we are running a Netball Tournament internally for our year 6 classes in the morning which will be exciting with our new posts and new netball bibs. Year 2’s will have a multi-skills event outdoors in the afternoon which will also be held on our school grounds on the big playground! The extra time on Fridays doing activity aswell as their normal 2 hour PE lessons a week will help to build up their fitness quickly after 3months of lockdown with no school & playgrounds shut. We are happy to announce we have 10 new archery sets to call our own to use within future lesson, hopefully weather permitting we might even use them outside. We have bought 2 Kurling & 3 Boccia sets for our students to use too which is brilliant news especially for our SEND children who love those sports. Bring on the the sunshine & let the games begin.
