Year 5 & 6 Best team football @ St Albans 15th November 2019

Mr Kirk, 20 Nov 2019

This years best team football qualifiers was hosted at St Albans Primary School on their brand new multi-sports astro facility which the children loved playing football on. We had such a big variety of great-talented football players to choose from so we actually took 2 teams to take part in the event.

Year 5 & 6 Best team football @ St Albans 15th November 2019

Our A team finished the day unbeaten; winning 3 games and drawing 1 game, only conceding 1 goal all afternoon. A huge amount of superb saves from our goalkeeper, and a variety of skills used on the pitch defensively and in the attack with some great team goals.

Our B team were in a tough group with some very strong teams. The team didn't have the easiest afternoon but  they remained resilient and were rewarded with several goals and close scorelines for their efforts.

We were very proud of all 13 boys and the 1 girl who represented Cooks Spinney in the event, and we're glad to have one team representing our school in the Football finals on Friday 22nd November.
