Year 6 Netball Tournament, Friday 19th March, 2021
Our year 6's have not played Netball for a year so we wanted to remind the students of the skills and rules of the game before starting to play competitive games. The students enjoyed learning netball skills such as shooting, chest pass, and pivoting. We introduced a teamwork drill where the students had to pass the ball around the circle and one of the students had to sprint on the outside to beat the ball being passed around. We had a passing and moving drill where one of the students was the receiver and pass it back to the player when they moved into space. We had 4 shooting drills and we had one of students which helped improve their hand-eye co-ordination skills. After that the students got to play a 4-side game of netball against each other, we have a brand new set of pink bibs which the student really liked. We had some of the students who managed to score from really far away in the game which was super skills. All students really enjoyed the experience and left saying they wanted to play again. Luckily there are 2 free tastier netball sessions from Crosskeys Netball Club at Mark hall Sports Centre, London Road, Harlow, CM17 9LX on 14th & 21st of April at 5-6pm. Feel free to get in touch if you need more information. Thank you, Miss Jordan
