Over 60 KS2 children compete for Crowlees at the cross country event

Cross country running competition – Thursday 27th September 2018

Over 60 children from the whole of KS2 took part in the Mirfield round of the cross country competitions which took place at Crossley Fields. The course was challenging; it seemed quite long to some of the children and one side had a gentle slope!

There was a great atmosphere; plenty of cheering each other on and congratulating each other on fantastic results.

And fantastic results they were…

All our children from Crowlees ran well. Our results included some amazing first and second placings across Year 3, 4 and 6.

Following these brilliant results, some of our competitors have been selected to run at the Kirklees Final. We will have Veronica (Year 6 girls), Arthur (Year 3 boys) and Matthew (Year 4 boys) running as individuals. In addition, we have 2 teams who qualified: Year 6 boys – Billy, Dylan, Jacob, Liam and Oliver, and Year 4 girls – Lauren, Poppy, Matilda, Jessica and Emily.

Good luck!
