Mirfield Sportshall Athletics Competition November 2017

Crowlees Kids, 13 Dec 2017

SHA Winners!

On Thursday 30th November 2017, the Year 5 and 6 Athletics team took part in the Mirfield competition. We competed against 4 other schools in track and field events.

The competition kicked off with the obstacle race which involves running, hurdles and jumping. Following that came the hurdles for boys and girls. During the other track races, the field events took place across the hall. We took part in speed bounce, long jump, triple jump, and chest push.

The last field event was the javelin. Some of our throws were amazing! Finally, we had a girls and a boys team in the 4x1 relay. Both our teams ran extremely fast and won their races!

Overall, not only did we really enjoy the competition,  we won!

Hopton came 2nd.

As winners, we go through to the next round (Spen Valley).
