Spen Valley Sportshall Athletics Final January 2018
Fantastic team effort from the Year 5/6 athletics team
On Thursday 18th January, the Year 5/6 athletics team attended the Spen Valley Sportshall Athletics competition at the Leeds Road sports barn.
Our team were very excited and had all attended an extra training session in the previous week to prepare for the event.
We gathered lots of points in the field events with some outstanding jumping and throwing. The boys pulled back much needed points with fantastic results in the track events. The girls fought hard in the track races, but the competition was tough.
Overall, we finished in 3rd place. We were disappointed as this means we don't progress to the next round. However, we know that we have done really well to get this far!
