the latest Y6 league matches

Yesterday saw our two Y6 football league teams in action at Totley Primary School.  It was touch and go during the day as the rain had lashed down the night before and continued intermittently during the day, but happily their pitch drains pretty well (unlike ours which won'be playable until about March!). So despite mud and a sloping pitch we were good to go! The goalkeepers had the hardest time with a wet muddy ball, but they all - the Totley GK as well -  played well despite being very unlucky on occasion. It was a successful afternoon for us with United winning 4-2 and Legends drawing 2-2. Some cracking goals from Paddy and Jack W, great defending from Zinny and Evan played fantastically tackling tenaciously, dribbling with purpose and making some great passes. We were all a bit wet and cold by the end but it was a good afternoon's football played with great spirit by both schools.  Well done everyone.
