Y3/4 Football Tournament @ Marston’s – 23rd October 2018

Lots of local schools were represented in this Y3/4 football tournament, with two of them coming from Edge Hill.

Edge Hill I was drawn against 4 other East Staffs schools in its group and played a match against each of them.

Edge Hill I 0-0 William Shrewsbury II

Edge Hill I 0-2 St Modwen’s I

Scientia I 0-2 Edge Hill I (Ollie G, Elijah)

Christ Church 1-3 Edge Hill I (Ollie F x2, Charlie)

The players had not played together before and took a while to find their shape. However, they got better and better as the tournament progressed and were unlucky not to go through to the semis with 2 wins and a draw. Special mentions should go to Ollie G, who was always a force to be reckoned with out on the wing, and Ollie F who was skilful and always a threat in the middle of the pitch! A huge Well Done to:

Ollie F, Ollie G, Charlie, Elijah, Louie, Jaydn, Max and Caiden!

Edge Hill II also got better as they played more matches. They were unfortunate not to win their final match as they were starting to make good progress up the pitch!
