Year 2 at the 3 Tee County Final
After finishing 2nd in the Southend competition, we were invited to place against other schools who had qualified from other regions of Essex.
On arrival we were allocated to pool 3 where we took part in matches against Cressing, Chipping Ongar and Lawford. Our first match was extremely close and were unlucky to lose by 1 run going down 38 to 39 runs. Our second games saw us score our highest total of the day with 44 and managed to defend the total. The final game was decided by Lawford scoring two sixes which took them to 43 against our total of 36. We then had chance of a break before learning we were to take place against the other 3rd place teams in the 9-12th position deciders. We came up against Henry Moore, Downham and George Tomlinson. In the first game we scored 38 whereas HM scored 48 made up with many of their batters scoring bonus 2s. The game against Downham was very even and ended up drawing 35 all. The final game saw a tense finish and another 1 run difference. This time we won. The children represented the school superbly and had a fantastic time. Well done to all involved.
