Year 3 and 4 boys and girls football
Both the Y3 and 4 boys and girls 6 a side football teams qualified to play at Roots Hall.
On Friday 17th May, the boys and girls football team from Years 3 and 4 went to Roots Hall, home of Southend United, to take part in a festival of football having finished inside the top 4 teams at a prior competition earlier in the year. The girls were up first, winning the first game 3-1 against Chalkwell Juniors. Unfortunately the girls lost the remaining two games 2-0 to Prince Avenue and 3-0 to Temple Sutton.
The boys followed, also winning their first game, 1-0 against Greenways. Next up were Bournes Green which we lost 2-1, before finishing the festival with a 2-2 draw with Heycroft.
Both of the sides played very well as teams and really enjoyed the experience. They kept their heads up, showed great determination and are already hopeful of a return next year!
