2019-2020 Team Captains and Their Plan for the Year

Minutes from the Team Captain Meeting Thursday 5th September Present: Mr Holt Red Team representatives (Grace and Emily S) Yellow Team representatives (Josh and Emily P) Green Team representatives (Oscar and Ellen) and Blue Team representatives (Harry S and Emily C). We began the meeting by talking about our agenda. Our agenda was to discuss new team names and competitive team days / activities for the year ahead.

Team Names

During assembly we had our meeting and discussed ideas for team names for 2019 – 2020. We had a few of our own ideas and then we went into assembly to talk to our teams. We wrote down our top three voted team names below and then selected our team name for the year ahead.  Here are the winning team names:

Yellow Lions, Green Gulls, Blue Flames and Red Rockstars.

We also discussed competitive days for the year ahead and we came up with these ideas:

A Wii / Computer game day (e.g. Just Dance / Wii Sports / Wii Tennis).  Maths problems on the field (sports to work out maths answers).  Athletics based competitions in school.  Add things to sports day such as dodgeball, basketball, golf, archery and cricket.

Our Team Captain meetings this year will be held on:

• Thursday 5th September
• Friday 8th November
• Friday 10th January
• Friday 24th February
• Friday 24th April
• Friday 5th June
