Football Match vs Baines Endowed
Report on a school football match
On Wednesday 20th September Copp school had a football game against a new opposition in Baines Endowed. We won 7-0! Forest scored the first goal for us from outside the box. Luca added to the scoreline to make it 2-0 early on. Leon then raced through to score our third before half time. At the start of the second half it took us a while to get going again but then Matty ran into the box and was brought down by the keeper giving us a penalty. Harry took it and he scored to make it 4-0. Minutes after the re-start Luca scored to make it 5-0. He finished his hat-trick off in style making the score 6-0. Near the end of the game Baines tried to come back by hitting the crossbar. As the ball bounced towards the goal, Daniel made a last minute clearance giving us a clean sheet. At the end of the game Leon scored the best goal of the game as he chipped the keeper to make it 7-0. Our man of the match was Jaycey, who came under some pressure but kept a clean sheet, organising the defense all game.
Well done Copp and thanks to Bob who took us to the game and manged us to our first victory of the season.
