Paralympics

What a wonderful day Honeywell’s athletes had at Latchmere participating in Paralympics!

Paralympics

From New Age Kurling to Sitting Volleyball, the children spent time reporting back on what they enjoyed most and filming their team mates competing.  I was really proud of the way they worked together to achieve the goals set at each station, and you can see from their faces how pleased they were to receive their medals (to be worn in Friday’s achievement assembly please).

Enormous thank you to Kate and Amanda for helping the children navigate the event.

Feedback from the Youth Sport Trust was very positive, who thanked us for bringing our youngsters who were simply incredible.

Today was part of a series of 50 festivals across England where the children joined around 5,000 other young people who had their own personal experiences of a mini Paralympics and Learning & Discovery

day.

In case you missed it, today’s event featured on ITV news at approx 18:15pm.

Photos are attached, although I am also trying to source the professional shots taken which I will share as I receive them!
