Y5/6 Table Tennis compeition
28th Feb-EIS Sheffield
On Friday 28th February 6 students from HBJS went to a table tennis tournament at EIS. From Year 6 we had Daniel, Holden, Alfie, Ethen, and from Year 5 we had George and Gino.
The tournament started at 3:30. When we arrived, we got into teams and played the only other school, St. Marie’s. The layout was simple: in our pairs we decided who was A and who was B. Then, we played another pair, one A against the other and one B against the other. Finally the A played the B to complete the matches meaning we played two separate games. For each win we got one point.
First we played doubles A & B against A & B. Holden and Daniel came in second place joint second along with Ethan and Alfie. After that, we played singles. Yet again, Daniel came second but with Alfie joint second as well.
We felt it was a great experience even though we were all a bit nervous before hand (even Gino and George who'd been before!) We'd love to go and play again now we've had the experience.
