Student Leaders Training Day 17 January 2019

Naomi Byrne, 11 Feb 2019

We went to the tennis centre to learn how to inspire other children to enjoy sports. My group learnt how to plan games and then we played them to make sure they worked. We also learnt about different competition formats like ladders, round robins and knockouts.

Student Leaders Training Day 17 January 2019

On 17 January over 50 students from the College were selected to attend a training day organised by the South Hams & West Devon School Games Organiser.  After attending the course students have achieved National Governing Sports Qualifications as either England Athletics Leaders, RFU Rugby Referees, LTA Tennis Leaders and Youth Sport Trust Competition Organisers. The students will now develop their skills as referees and leaders by supporting the primary and secondary sports competitions and festival. Funding towards the qualifications came from various Partner Organisations:  Active Devon, Devon RFU and Erme Valley Harriers Athletics Club through the England Athletics Game Changers programme.
