Chichester Girls' Football team came in to work with girls from Y4, 5 and 6

Girls' Football Festival (23/05/18)

As part of their outreach programme. 11 girls from Chichester Girls' Football team came and worked with the girls from Y4, 5 and 6. Three of those that came were Level 2 football coaches, and a number of the others were Level 1, here to gain experience.

They set up 4 stations / activities for the girls to try, with a focus on fun, improving motor skills and controlling the ball whilst dribbling.

Minefield - the children had to dribble the ball, but if they hit a cone or bib, then they had to jump up and "explode"!

Ocean - they had to dribble around the ocean as clownfish, and stay away from the two girls who were "sharks" who would try and take their "young "(their ball!).

Haunted House - they dribbled the ball, and tried to avoid being caught by two "zombies". Upon contact with a zombie, the children became "infected" and became zombies too, and went after the others!

Fairytale Land - the children have to try and steal presents for Shrek from under the "talking trees" without being caught. They also need to watch out for the "helpful" Donkey, who may cause more trouble than he solves!
