Sports Day 15/06/18
Our inaugural whole school Sports Day , where the sun shone, the parents cheered and EVERYONE participated.
Well, what a resounding success this day was! More than 200 pupils, divided into the school’s 4 house teams, and then these were split into 7 teams, met on the tournament field to compete in 7 events:
•Continuous relay with a baton.
•Goalball cone challenge.
•Vortex Howler Throw.
•Ladder run.
•Sponge run.
•Bean bag relay.
•Football through the gate.
The children scored points for each event, and these were converted into points for their house team. Jokers could be played before an event for double points, and this added an extra layer of excitement.
We are indebted to the great team of Sports Leaders from Bishop Luffa, who came and helped to run the events.
Oak team were our overall winners.
