All of our swimmers returned to School with medals after a fantastic day at the National ISA Finals at the Olympic pool in Stratford!

Pupils bring home National ISA Swimming Medals!

Year 4 pupil Henry S (50m freestyle 36.83 seconds) was thrilled to bring home silver after he broke his personal best by 2 seconds, and both Year 5 pupils Harry S (50m back stroke 44.05 seconds) and Alex S (50m breast stroke 47.61 seconds ) proudly received their bronze medals also improving their PBs. Alex also swam in the 50m freestyle and finished in 5th place with another PB of 36.38 seconds and participated in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay for East Anglia finishing in 7th place.

Headmaster Mr Crossley, who joined the boys and their families, said: “It was a fabulous occasion and a wonderful venue.   For all three boys to bring home a medal at National standard is an incredible achievement and they should be applauded for all the hours of practice that has obviously gone in to their training.  I would also like to thank the School’s Swimming Coach Sarah Heatley, who was poolside throughout and almost as excited as the children!”.

An outstanding achievement – well done to all three swimmers. We would also like to thank Year 7 pupil Harry H who supported the medal winners throughout the day.
