Two national qualifiers at ISA swimming championships

Mr Iain Martin, Head of Boys' Games, 4 Dec 2017

Our top swimmers competed against the best in the area at the Eastern ISA Swimming Championships

Two national qualifiers at ISA swimming championships

Four of our best swimmers competed at the Eastern ISA Swimming Championships at Crown Pools in Ipswich. There was a carrot dangling that if any swimmers were to win their age group they would be selected to represent the Eastern area of ISA at the national finals to be held at the London Aquatics Centre (an Olympic venue).

It was a very good experience for our four swimmers who must be congratulated on their performances on the day, with two of our team qualifying for the national finals.

Harry S swam extremely well to win the Year 5 backstroke and qualify for the national finals, where he will be joined by Alex S who won both the Year 5 freestyle and the Year 5 breaststroke.

Lazaros G competed well and finished 10/12 in back stroke and 9/13 in the freestyle. Sophia B swam well to finish 7/16 in freestyle and 8/16 in backstroke. Emily S-U swam very well to finish 5/14 in the backstroke.
