U11s Victorious at Framlingham Netball Festival

Sports Department, 28 Mar 2019

Well done to all of our girls who took part in the Annual Netball Festival at Framlingham College. It was a day of mixed successes for our teams and the girls worked hard throughout and were a pleasure to coach.

U11s Victorious at Framlingham Netball Festival

The U11s had a superb day, winning the tournament after playing some fantastic netball and dominating many of their matches. Every player stepped up and worked exceptionally hard for their team, particularly in an outstanding game against a strong Widford Lodge side, who we managed to beat 8-6. We also secured wins against Framlingham Prep, Finborough, Barnadiston and The Abbey, and finished with a draw against Beeston. The girls thoroughly deserved to finish their season on a high, winning the tournament in style! Well done to Evie W who was voted player of the tournament.

The U13s had a tougher day, struggling to match some very tall and strong sides. They worked hard and just didn’t get the run of play, to finish 4th in their tournament.

Many thanks to Mrs Sally Bridgstock (Games Coach) and Miss Kate Gregory (Gap Student) for giving up their Saturday to help coach and umpire the games.
