ELAN Cricket Festival

Kwik Cricket ELAN festival held at Weston Super Mare Cricket Club Monday 24th June 2019

Freddie, Cooper, Korban, Rowan Oliver G, Georgia-Jane, Charlie C (year 6) and Ollie T, Thomas and Sid (year 5) represented Locking Primary School at the ELAN Cricket Festival held at Weston Super Mare Cricket Club on Monday 24th June 2019.  There were 8 teams from across the ELAN taking part in this festival and we had perfect weather conditions for play Cricket.  The children batted in pairs for 2 overs and there were 4 pairs.  There was a team of 8 on the pitch fielding with every child bowling 1 over, including the wicket keeper.

Our first game was against Milton Park,  our second game against Mendip Green and our third game was against Meadvale.

All our children supported each other, giving advice on how to throw the ball and where to stand when fielding.  They all played so well which resulted in us winning all our games.  Everyone of our children enjoyed themselves and once again showed great sportsmanship.
