Swimming Gala Wednesday 30th January 2019

MAT Year 4/5/6 Swimming Gala held at Sidcot School.

 Locking were invited to attend a MAT swimming gala at Sidcot School on Wednesday 30 January 2019. Our swimming team consisted of Bethany, Ella, Lacey-Mae (year 6), Freya (year 4), Maxim, Nathan, Samuel and Morgan (year 6). First event was the boys fun water polo relay followed by the girls water polo relay. Both teams came second in their heat. We also came second in the 4 x 25m mixed noodle relay. Nathan and Max swam the boy’s 25m front crawl – Nathan came first and Max second. Ella and Lacey-Mae swam in the girl’s 25m front crawl – Ella came second and Lacey-Mae came in first. Morgan and Nathan represented the boys in the Breast stroke heats – Morgan was second and Nathan came first. In the girls Breast stroke Ella came second and Freya first. Samuel swam in the Boy’s backstroke coming second and Freya swam in the girl’s Backstroke coming first. The last event was the 4 x 25m Mixed Freestyle – Max, Nathan, Ella and Bethany represented Locking in this event and came in second place. 

Once again this was another fantastic sporting event, very well organised by Sidcot School and Mr Mulland our sports champion. We at Locking school are so proud of our children who showed great sportsmanship cheering on other schools as well as each other.
