Successful morning of Y5 ACET basketball at Aston Academy!

Y5 Success at ACET Basketball tournament!

Our Y5 boys and girls enjoyed an action-packed morning of basketball at Aston Academy on Wednesday, which brought together all the junior acadmies within ACET; Aughton, Listerdale, Lowedges, Springwood, Temple Normanton & Thurcroft.

Our boys displayed flashes of good passing play, and finished the morning tied on 10 pooints in second place with Aughton & Thurcroft. Our inferior goal difference meant we occupied 4th place. A very good effort from our boys.

The girls produced a dominant display in their fixtures, by winning all 5 games to hold a maximum points total of 15 out of 15. Great teamwork and passion were shown by the girls, who cheered every basket scored and ecelebrated with high 5's. Geat respect was also shown at the end of each match, by shaking hands with the opposition.

Well done to Mr Hall for organising, to Listerdale boys & Lowedges gilrs for winning their groups, to the sport leaders of Aston for officiating, and to all involved in a very enjoyable morning of basketball... team ACET!
