Essex Cup (Round 1) group stages
Northbury Girls go unbeaten in group stages to finish runners up and go into the hat for the next round!
Northbury 1 St Aubyns 1 - Northbury started the group stage by going 1-0 up through Lily-Mae in the first few minutes against hosts St Aubyns but a defensive mix up at the back between goalkeeper and defender let St Aubyns back in to earn a point.
Northbury 3 Benhurst 0 - Northbury brushed aside Benhurst with goals from Kaydene (2) and Samanta with a low driven finish to give us our first win of the group stage.
Northbury 0 George Carey 0 - A dominant display from the GC goalkeeper kept the score at 0-0. Lily-Mae, Klarisa and Ganiyat all had chances thwarted by the GC shot stopper which helped GC to secure a much needed point.
Northbury finish second in the group with 5 points and go through to the next round!
