A 1-1 Draw with Richard Alibon in the Super Six stage and a hatful of chances missed from Northbury could prove costly in weeks to come!

Honours even in Super Six match with Richard Alibon

Northbury Girls were left bemused at how they had come away with only a point in their recent Super Six fixture with Richard Alibon. Northbury dominated large spells of the game and hit the post twice along with a great 1v1 save from the Richard Alibon goalkeeper keeping the scores level.

After a cagey first 10 minutes the first half finished 0-0 with both teams trying to work each other out.

Lily-Mae as she has done many times this season, opened the scoring in the second half with a long range effort that looped over the keeper who parried it into her own net. Richard Alibon then hit back with a poor defensive mix up and poor clearance went straight to the Alibon forward who poked it into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.

Northbury then hit the post twice through Lily-Mae and Olivia, then some good work down the right from Olivia lead to a cross to Lily-Mae who was through on goal. The Alibon keeper came diving out at her feet to save a secure an important point for her team.

Well done to both teams in a competitive game that was played in the right spirits!!
