Northbury become Borough Tag Rugby CHAMPIONS!!
For the first time in the schools history, Northbury Primary became the Borough Tag Rugby champions and will represent Barking and Dagenham at the London Youth Games!!
Northbury 6 Gascoigne 0:
Tries from Jephthah (3), Josh (2) and Leighana 1 saw Northbury collect 3 points and win their first game of the competition
Northbury 3 William Bellamy 1:
Tries from Leighana, Josh and Jephthah helped Northbury secure their second win in their toughest game of the whole competition against a very strong William Bellamy side. Some excellent defending and tagging by Kaydene and Ganiyat.
Northbury 6 Rush Green 0:
Tries from Marvellous, Kamal, Jephthah, Josh, Cardell and Ganiyat secured Northbury's place in the semi-final
Semi-final vs Warren Jr:
Northbury managed to secure a spot in the final with a 3-0 victory over Warren with tries from Jephthah, Josh and Leighana.
Final vs George Carey:
Our second final in as many weeks against a strong George Carey side meant we had to be at our best and the team rose to the occasion with tries from Josh (2), Jephthah and Kamal helped secure a 4-1 win over rivals George Carey in a thrilling display in the final to earn us the title of Borough Champions! The children have put in a lot of work to prepare for the Tag Rugby tournament and it's great to see it paying off and them playing with a smile on their faces.
