Mr Keady, 15 Jul 2019

Here are some sporting successes that children have enjoyed outside of school this summer.

Summer Sporting Success of children at O.L.I.

Using our school sports display board, children have had the opportunity to celebrate their own sporting achievements for which they have participated in outside of school.

Congratulations to the following pupils for their excellent achievements:

· Zoe (Finches): for gaining a personal best time in the Kingston Parkrun of 29 minutes and 57 seconds. A fantastic achievement- well done Zoe!

· Joshua and Oisin (Parakeets): for being part of their winning football team and receiving 1st place medals in a recent competition.

· Daniel R (Parrots): for receiving a trophy for best defensive player in basketball- congratulations Daniel!

· Charlotte (Owls): for achieving two personal best times in the 5k adult parkrun. Charlotte ran a fantastic 27 minutes and two seconds at Little Hampton in June. A great achievement Charlotte- keep up the great running!

· Isla (Eagles): for doing really well in a recent dance school competition that was held in Italy- great effort and commitment Isla!

· Liza (Eagles): for getting a distinction in a ballet exam and receiving full marking- an amazing achievement, well done Liza!

I continue to look forward to hearing about the sporting achievements of our children in the next academic year.
