Surrey Primary Schools’ Cross-Country Championships 2019
Watched by Mr Keady and Mrs Robertson, a number of long-distance runners from Year 5 and 6 took on the best from Surrey at Cross-Country Championships. Read here to find out how the children got on.
On Saturday 9th March 2019, twelve Year 5 and Year 6 pupils represented O.L.I. and the Borough of Kingston in Surrey’s most prestigious cross-country competition. The event, which was held in superb surroundings of Reigate Priory Park, consisted of the best long-distance runners from across Surrey. Competing in age-based races, all pupils displayed excellent perseverance, skill and stamina by tackling the demanding course.
Despite the hilly and windy conditions, our runners competed brilliantly and registered some fantastic times. I would like to congratulate the following pupils on their performances: Maia, Zofia, Raphael, Benjamin, Julian, Jacob (Year 5), Emilie, Chloe, Oliver G, Ollie O, Keir and Max (Year 6).
