Primary Schools Mixed Netball Tournament - Bradfield College

Giacomo Bottini and Maya Rajsic, 11 Oct 2017

On Tuesday 10th October 2017, 10 Year 6 pupils attended the Primary Schools Mixed Netball Tournament at Bradfield College.

Seven schools attended the event.  Every school had one match against each of the other schools. The matches were seven minutes each way with a two minute break for half time.

Our first match was against Birchcopse and we won 7-0.  We were very pleased with this result and it gave us confidence and encouragement for the rest of the event.

The next match was against Engelfield, we played well and the final score was 9-1 to us.

We won the next two matches which were against Westwood Farm and Sulhampstead, Ufton Nervet.

Then we had a lunch break and rest for half an hour.

Soon after lunch the tournament resumed.  Our next match was our toughest against Spurcroft.  It was very intense and competitive.  At the last minute, the horn blew just as Ella was about to score, to even the game at 2-2.  We all felt a little disappointed to lose the match but we remained positive and won our next match against Bradfield 3-1.

Our final game was against Woolhampton, at half time we were 1-0 down but we made a comeback in the second half to win 3-1.

The results were announced and we came second overall with 19 points.  We thoroughly enjoyed our day and were proud of the way we played as a team and the good sportsmanship from all participants.
