Archery at Breck

Yew and Cherry were both given the chance to have a go at archery over this half term.

It was excellent. At first we all found it difficult but then we got better and started to be able to hit the targets nearly every time.

We learnt to shoot an arrow safely- you have to put your bow to sleep, put in the arrow facing away from other people and then shoot, you never collect your arrows when others are shooting.

Miss Moore asked the class if they would like to try archery again and nearly everyone said yes.

Our favourite  part was when we got better we had a mini competition, the winners had the highest score which meant they had hit closest to the bulls-eye.

I would recommend archery to other people because it teaches you patience, accuracy and not to give up.
