Poulton Primary Schools Quad KIds Athletics Competition
On Thursday 16th June 2022 we attended the Quad Kids Athletics Competition at Stanley Park , Blackpool.
This week a team of Year 4s and Year 6s from Breck went to Stanley Park, Blackpool to compete against other schools from the Poulton district in a series of athletics events.
This type of meet is called Quad Kids due to the four events that make up the competition (howler throw/standing long jump/ 60m sprint and 400m distance run).
The team spirit and comradery was outstanding. Not only did each competitor cheer on members of the Breck squad, but also every other athlete that was taking part.
We finished the event in 2nd place, yet cheered as loudly and as happily for this position as if we had won the Olympics.
Thank you Team Breck. You were all excellent representatives of the school and made everyone very proud.
