School Games Day II

Mr Hesketh, 20 Jul 2018

This Thursday we had a second school games day with the focus being upon inter-house competition.

We decided that all of the day's activities would be based around striking and fielding games.

All of the children in KS1/Reception took part in a strike the ball from the stand task (similar to a game Year 1s have played as a curriuculum core task).

After hitting the ball the children had to race around three cones while the fielders retrieved the ball and returned to their zone. Once all had entered their area they shouted STOP! Individual runs were added to make their team total.

In KS2 we played kwik-cricket- all classes under the close leadership  of the Year 5 umpires.

Well done everybody , what an enjoyable day.
