Fantastic Tag Rugby festival at Chichester Rugby Club for our Year 3 and 4 children

Tag Rugby Chichester Year 3/4

On a lovely sunny afternoon, 12 children from Years 3 and 4 attended a Tag Rugby Festival hosted at Chichester Rugby Club.

Many of the children had never played Tag Rugby before and were keen to learn how to play this fun sport.

The children were mixed together with children from other schools and had the opportunity to learn how to pass, tag, attack and defend through mini-skill stations lead by the exceptional Sports Leaders from The Regis School.

Following their training, the children then got back together in their schools and had the opportunity to apply their new found skills in friendly matches.

Southway performed very well as a team and showed great team work throughout.

Here are some comments from the children involved

' It is really fun and I managed to score a try'
   Lacey-  Year 4
' I was a bit unsure at first but once you get going it is really fun'
Melissa - Year 4
'I would definitely play Tag Rugby again and I liked dodging past everyone to score a try'
Archie - Year 3

Well done to everyone involved
