🏃♂️🎅 Jingle Jog, Fun Run 2018 🤶🏃♀️
Today we took 58 pupils to take part in this event at Sherwood Pines.
Today we took 58 pupils from years 5&6 to take part in the Jingle Jog fun run event at Sherwood Pines Forest. This event was organised by Newark, Mansfield and Bassetlaw SGOs and was incredibly well organised. Thank you very much to all the people involved with organising today.
On artival all our pupils were given a Santa hat 🎅🤶 which they were encouraged to wear . Once all the schools ( 12 in total and over 1000 pupils ) had sorted there belongings out and were ready there was then a mass warm up. Unfortunately this was the only negative of the day, not many people could hear the music or the instructors leading the warm up. Anyway after that we went back to our specified area to wait for our turn to start the run. We didn’t wait long and soon we were off. The course was 3 km long and all 58 of our pupils completed the run. It was great to see the big smiling faces as they crossed the finish line and some even wanted to do the whole thing again.
Thanks to all the staff for their help on the day and for running with the pupils and encouraging them along the route.
We will most certainly be back again next year.
