Year 5 and 6 Boys Football Competition
This was the league based preliminaries of the Primary Schools' Boys 5 a-side football competition. The competition is run under the auspices of The Hackney Schools' Athletic Association.
The team consisted of six year 6 boys and 1 year 5 boy. The tournament was 5-A-Side. 5 teams turned up, all the teams got to play 4 minute games against one another.
Springfield played their 1st game against St Scholasticas and drew 0-0. The 2nd game was against Shacklewell and we won 2-0 with Leo scoring both goals. Our 3rd game was against Gahurst and yet again the game ended in a draw, with Levent scoring 1. Our final game was against St Dominics and was our toughest game. After putting up our best fight we lost 1-0.
The team is currently in 3rd position out of 7 teams. The boys are keen for the next round.
