A superb draw in the Semi-Finals Tony Mosson Girls Football Cup

Semi-final replay for Girls Tony Mosson Cup match

Spurcroft girl footballers faced Falkland in the semi-finals of the Tony Mosson Cup away.

Both teams started strong and were determined to play a good match against tough opposition. The football standard was excellent with superb defence preventing either team from scoring. When either team had the ball attacking play was excellent with some good through balls from the midfield players. An opportunity arose for Falkland to score from a free kick but Bella was strong and made a superb save.

At final time the match finished 0-0. The teams played 5 mins extra time and again no team could break the deadlock. The team will have a replay after half term.

Thanks to the parents for their support and cheering on the side of the match. Well done everyone: Isabella Oelosfe, Sophie Schofield, Jess Schofield, Tate Billington, Catherine Jones, Issy Lawrence, Teagan Kell, Gracie Collins and Jess Argyle.
