Wheelchair Basketball
For the last six weeks, year six have been playing wheelchair basketball for one hour on Monday mornings. During that period, they have been practising dribbling, passing, shooting and have greatly improved on these essential skills.
After many Monday mornings of determination, hard work and freezing hands, they now know how to confidently play wheelchair basketball and are ready to play in the upcoming competition later this year. We were split into two even groups and took turns to play for the first hour of the day and the second hour too. We had much fun playing this sport as we learnt many new skills and we have witnessed many new incredible talents in some people whilst taking part in this amazing opportunity. We played many matches against each other in teams of seven and eight to increase their ability to work with each other. Us children have loved doing this activity and wish that they can do it again some time soon. :)

As a school we are very passionate about PE love taking part in School Games competitions against other schools in the area. We also enjoy participating in our own intra-house team events against our other class members. This year we are going for Gold again!
