Basketball competition for year 5 and 6

Miss Kiely, 16 Mar 2018

St John Fisher went to a basket ball competition to Alec Reed Academy. When all our teams got there we saw twenty-five opponents.

Basketball competition for year 5 and 6

The A , B and C team 3-5 teams in each category. When the B Team played at the start of the match, we were nervous; during the match we got pumped and confident. We drew the first match and then we went to see the A Team playing. It was a really tough game for them but sadly they lost that match they were playing. Then both the B Team and the A TEAM went to watch the C Team playing. It was an extremely tough match for them because they only had 3 players in their team (they didn't have a substitute)  so they had to work twice as hard as us. But then after the match finished the scores were 2-1 so the C Team lost as well. After that the B Team played another match. But then again we drew the match. Then the C and A Team drew, won and lost some . Then we won our last match . After that we had our lunch which was delicious. Coming back, the main referee announced that the C Team and A Team came forth in their category and that the B Team came second. Then we played in the semi-finals which we won. We were so excited but also nervous. After that we drew the final. It was so tense. This gave us  a ten second break and then another three minute match. We lost that match but at least we came second place. YAY!!! Then we went by tube back to school celebrating.
