Gymnastic Competition Y5
Gymnastic Competition Y5
We had a gymnastics competition on Friday 18th May. There were two Year 6 children judging us. One of them was our school sports ambassador. The marks were out of 20. Each team needed to be 2 boys and 2 girls in each group. We had practiced for 6 weeks. Both of the Year 5 classes were also practicing for their personal best scores during the lessons. Our challenge was to hang from the gym bars for as long as possible. This helped with our upper body strength. Both of the Year 5 classes had the opportunity to get accessories and benches to give their routine more co-ordination. There was 1st place, in 5DK’S class 2nd place people in 5SM and 5DK. Everyone, felt like winners, because all of us actually are winners!
Nobody, got full marks at balance, rotation and co-ordination, the most marks the 1st place team got 17 marks in total and the joint 2nd place both got 16. The competition took approximately 1hour, but everyone enjoyed it so the time went as quick as a flash!
ALL OF US ARE WINNERS!
