Sports Day

Willis, Fraser and Jack.O, 2 Jul 2019

On Friday, we did our St John Fisher sports day.

First in the morning, we got into groups with flags of a country. There were ten different groups with about three or four children from a class. There were many different activity's outside. We did a activity and then we counted up the points and moved on to the next activity.  When they had done all the activity's, they went to play and after, we announced the winning team and people who have shown the values. After, we had the running races.  There were three main events (sprint, egg and spoon and obstacle). There was also a relay race which had four children in each saints group. Here are all the saints-St Davids, St Andrews, St Patrick's and St Georges. For KS1, some of the year 6's helped out on different activity's. At the end of the KS1 and 2's races, we had the parents race! They were very enjoyable to watch. In the KS2 races, the teachers raced and they had loads of fun! It was  hilarious to watch!

The winning team over all was USA with individual awards to other children for the school games values.

St John Fisher is a special place; an inclusive learning community with a strong vision, shared values and visible Catholic ethos. We are ambitious and work hard to go further in order to be the very best we can be. Our community is a place of aspiration; where expectations of both pupils and staff are high. Our children deserve nothing less than our best.
