Y6 - Hollowford school trip
Last week the Y6 went on a school trip to Hollowford where we did many activities.
At Hollowford we did 5 activities which were Caving, Abseiling, Canoeing, Hill walk and orienteering. It was a great experience where I learned and experienced many new things.
I enjoyed caving the most because it was a new experience for me and I enjoyed doing the challenges in the cave such as crawling through a tight space and challenging myself and coming out of my comfort zone.
Also I enjoyed abseiling which is something I have also never done before. We abseiled of a bridge which was about a 50-60ft drop which we had to go down on our own on a rope and lower ourselves down until we got the bottom and we were then unhooked by our teacher. It was a really scary but fun experience and I am really glad I pushed myself to do it.
St John Fisher Primary, A Catholic Voluntary Academy
St John Fisher is a special place; an inclusive learning community with a strong vision, shared values and visible Catholic ethos. We are ambitious and work hard to go further in order to be the very best we can be. Our community is a place of aspiration; where expectations of both pupils and staff are high. Our children deserve nothing less than our best.
