End of a great term!

Joel Neve Millie and Samuel, 27 Mar 2018

We have had a fantastic term of competing.

End of a great term!

Despite awful weather and competitions been postponed we never gave up and were determined to do our best. This term has been one of our most successful.

In the  cross country finals we achieved a bronze medal from Millie, she said:

"I am overwhelmed I got this far and bring on the next round".

Not only did we get a bronze medal but 6 fantastic runners qualified for the Tees Valley finals. Great determination was shown and spirts were kept high the weather conditions did not put us down. Mrs Davies could be heard cheering us all on and everyone past the finish line feeling proud. During the race self-belief was shown 100%.

Next, the Year 4 team went to the Stockton Football Tournament, They were very nervous but excited. The first game they drew 1-1 such a tough start to the tournament. They then went on to win the next three matches 7-0 , 3-0, and 2-1. Great teamwork, and now we felt we were in with a chance..The final game we lost 0-4 and we were out of the tournament. Samuel quoted

" I felt sad but knew we had played well and we will do better next time".

Stockton Netball Finals was our next fantastic achievement. In the first round we won all our games beating Levendale, Whitehouse and Whinstone.

"We now knew we were in with a chance of winning a medal"
said Joel.

We had to keep our cool and self belief as we entered the semi-finals. Teamwork was greatly shown during the final matches, it was getting tougher but we kept our spirits high. We lost the semi-final but managed to gain a bronze medal. Fantastic.

We have also had success in the Stockton Swimming final with one of our chuildren gaining a bronze medal!!

We had a great time at the Change for life Competition and this gave lots of children the chance to compete. A very active term has been had. Mrs Tattersdill PE Leader said

"It has been a fantastic term and we have taken part in lots of Level 1 and 2 competitions. Our children really embrace the School Games values they show great determination and passion in all that they do. We are very proud of them."
